The news of that coming out is actually what prompted me to try That whole thing makes me pretty anxious if I'm honest because it is very far from having feature parity with either google music or spotify and it's been months and it's still lagging behind. Speaking of google killing stuff, Youtube Music has released recently to more directly compete with spotify and it's rumored to completely replace Google Music. But then they killed the chromecast audio soooo. That may not always matter though as you can normally jack in to a third party device with a chromecast or chromecast audio. There's nothing like spotify connect or apps for arbitrary third party devices.

The downsides are that it's only really well integrated in android or other google devices.
#Jqbx chromecast 320kbps
Not everything is available in 320kbps but the quality has been high on most things I've heard, as far as I can tell. As with any other service, it depends on what they have. They've been a little coy about what they serve up but I believe it's up to 320kbps if you configure it to always be high quality. I've used Google Music, Spotify, and Plex When I set aside time to sit down and just listen to music, I usually use Foobar2000 and my FLAC library. That's mostly for mobile or trivial usage and discovery though. With the way I organize my music, Spotify just ended up being the clear choice, and their 320Kbps OGG Vorbis codec sounds just fine to me. I've got a folder where the playlists are sorted by genre, a folder for different moods, a folder for different D&D ambient tracks, and a folder for different artists and their albums. On Spotify I'm able to make folders that themselves contain playlists. With platforms like Google Play Music or Tidal, all my playlists were under a single menu. For whatever reason no other streaming service had this feature when I tried it, but it's an absolute must for me these days. My primary reason for using Spotify however is the Playlist Folder feature. I've used Spotify, Google Play Music, and Tidal each for more than a year at a time, and I personally prefer Spotify.Īs you mentioned, Discover Weekly is a handy thing to have, and mine's been exceptional these last few weeks. I also found the radio setup to not be to my liking. I found the interface to be kinda clunky and overall not very satisfying to use.

I have also read that Spotify has a much bigger library of tracks. Spotify does have some positives such as its weekly suggestions. That's with both interfaces maxed out and windows sound maxed out.
#Jqbx chromecast how to
There is also the fact that the streams seem to be louder? I don't know how to explain it except that when using Spotify I need my amp's dial set to about 12 position. I don't know for some reason it seems to do a much better job then spotify. I also like its suggestions for the next song played. So far really liking the interface of Tidal. Personally tried Sportify (Premium) Pandora (Premium) Tidal Hi-Fi or what ever they call it. I wanted to see get other people's thoughts and start a discussion. I did a search on google and found the last discussion was from almost a year ago.
